Hey, I’m Boon. I want to gain weight. All my life I have been pretty skinny, and it sucks. People always comment on it, tell me to “eat something”… Over the years I have made many unsuccessful attempts at gaining weight, but now things are changing.

Throughout high school I had a gym membership, tried to eat right, and did what I thought would work in an attempt to gain weight. I was able to climb from 110lbs to 120 and maintain it somewhat, but it was very difficult. I didn’t understand what I was doing wrong. I thought it was genetic, I thought it was a problem with my body / metabolism / you know those diet commercials can make it seem like everything is out of your own control.

In 2009 I made a new years resolution to gain 20lbs (weighting 120lbs at the time) I was mildly successful putting on 10 solid pounds during the year, but I made a lot of mistakes and was still learning a lot.

Well now it is 2010 and I’m making even more changes to help me reach my goal. I have that same new years resolution to gain 20lbs (mostly muscle). At the beginning of 2010 I weighed in at just under 130lbs and I want to weight 150lbs by the end of the year. To help achieve these goals I have set up a more aggressive weight gain diet plan, I have acquired a REAL weight gain workout routine, and best of all, I have this blog to help track my progress and push myself.

There still isn’t really a strong central area for skinny guys to go to get weight gain advice. Sure people say “eat more” and other obvious things, and sure people will never miss out on an opportunity to give you weight gain advice even though they have had no similar experience to relate to (and usually aren’t in good shape themselves)… Well I want this website to be the place where really skinny guys can go for proven reliable, tested weight gain methods.

Follow my blog and track my progress and maybe learn a thing or two about how to gain weight from a fellow (soon to be previously) skinny guy.
